A Response List is a list of names, addresses, and other customer data compiled by a company based on sign-ups, subscriptions, surveys and other commercial transactions. Federal CAN-SPAM regulations require that customers give specific permission (called "opt-in") for their email addresses to be part of a response list used by a company or rented to third-parties.
